I have been reading (digesting) Myles Monroe’s 1st book on the Kingdom Series for the last several months. Some books I read quickly and, unfortunately, will put it down quickly, as well. Not this book…I have slowly and methodically been eating each nugget one at a time.
Yesterday, I read something that has really got me to thinking. In the Kingdom, the only thing that matters is what the King thinks. Personal opinion should NOT be revealed and could possibly bring about your sudden end. Some things we do not need to voice our opinions about, especially when it comes to His Word and His truths. His law is ultimate authority. Learn and discern…
Too many men have tried to write down a “list” of do’s and don’ts that NEVER are the intention of God. Yes, we need the Law because it points out our desperate need of salvation because of the sin that exists within us. But it is the Spirit, the authorization of a Kingdom citizen, not the “list” that will deliver us from the bondage of sin. We cannot do anything ourselves to merit His forgiveness or favor. In fact, all of our efforts are futile. Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV – “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
We simply have to LEARN and DISCERN His ways and His truth. No matter how we “feel” about a certain spoken or written truth, WE cannot change it. We simply have to learn what that truth is and discern how we are to walk according to that truth.
